MODERN ROMANS: A WARNING FOR AMERICA, BRITAIN AND ISRAEL

Chapter 5

God’s First Test Commandment - Making Idols/Images

Before describing the blessings for obedience to the Covenant and curses for disobedience, God specifically commanded Israel to particularly obey two Test commandments because since the time of Cain and his descendants, humanity has violated these two test commandments the most as a sign of rebellion against the true Creator God. These commandments are mentioned in Leviticus 26:1-2 (NIV), “Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God. 2 “‘Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.”

God warned Israel not to worship any form of idols as the first test commandment. The second test commandment is to keep the Sabbath day holy. Reverencing God’s sanctuary is tied to the two test commandments. Here is what Ezekiel the prophet has to say about polluting the sanctuary.

Ezekiel 5:11-14, “11 Wherefore, as I live, says the Lord God; Surely, because YOU [talking about Israel] HAVE DEFILED MY SANCTUARY WITH ALL YOUR DETESTABLE THINGS, AND WITH ALL YOUR ABOMINATIONS [meaning images and idols], and with all your abominations, therefore will I also diminish you; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity. 12 A third part of you shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of you: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about you; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. 13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the Lord have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them. 14 Moreover I will make you waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about you, in the sight of all that pass by.”

Ezekiel 8:5-18, “5 Then said he [God] unto me, Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this IMAGE OF JEALOUSY in the entry [worshipping images]. 6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, do you see what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn yet again, and you shall see greater abominations. 7 And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. 8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. 9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. 10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and ALL THE IDOLS OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, PORTRAYED UPON THE WALL ROUND ABOUT.

11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel…with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up [OFFERING INCENSE TO IDOLS AND IMAGES AS HAPPENS IN MAINSTREAM CHRISTIANITY’S CHURCHES]. 12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, have you seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the Lord sees us not; the Lord has forsaken the earth. 13 He said also unto me, Turn yet again, and you shall see greater abominations that they do.

14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz [Another name for Nimrod or Baal, the savior that Mainstream Christianity worships. Here women are weeping over his death]. 15 Then said he unto me, Have you seen this, O son of man? turn yet again, and you shall see greater abominations than these. 16 And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and THEY WORSHIPPED THE SUN TOWARD THE EAST [Sun is worshipped on Sunday, mainstream Christianity’s day of worship, in violation of the Sabbath. Also Baal is worshipped in Easter sunrise services]. 17 Then he said unto me, Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. 18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.”

This is how Mainstream Christianity pollutes God’s sanctuary, instead of reverencing it; with its images in stained glass windows, crosses, steeples which are symbols of phallus worship, and statues supposedly of Jesus and Mary, though Jesus in real life actually looked nothing like in the statues.

The first test commandment to not worship idols or images is also enshrined in the Ten Commandments as the Second Commandment in Exodus 20:4-6 (NKJV), “4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”

The second Test Commandment to observe the Sabbath day is also enshrined in the Ten Commandments as the fourth commandment in Exodus 20:8-11 (NKJV), “8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”

These two test commandments are the longest stated among the Ten Commandments. That’s how much importance God lays on them.

Now let’s see how Israel and Judah violate these two test commandments.

First Test Commandment - Worshipping Idols/Images

Immediately after speaking the Ten Commandments God warned the people in Exodus 20:22-23, “22 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.”

Moses paraphrased these words in Deuteronomy 4:12-19 (NIV), “12 Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice. 13 He declared to you his covenant, the Ten Commandments, which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets…15 You saw no form of any kind the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, 16 so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, 17 or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, 18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. 19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things…”

Go visit any mainstream Christianity’s Church and you will see images or idols of Jesus and Mary in stained glass windows, nativity scenes, or a figure hanging on a cross, or crosses displayed. God specifically warned the people not to make any image that looks like a male or a female, or any animal, bird or fish, or any image. The cross is also an image. The dove and fish are used as symbols by Christians.

Also look at Mainstream Christianity’s worship practices during religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter. Trees are worshipped during Christmas. Rabbits, eggs, hot cross buns, and the sun during sunrise services at Easter are images as well.

Now let’s look at scriptures where God condemns idol worship in the Bible and what are its consequences for our people.

Isaiah 2:8, “8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made [meaning cars, electronic gadgets etc.].

Isaiah 45:16, “15 Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior! 16 They shall be ashamed And also disgraced, all of them; They shall go in confusion together, who are makers of idols.”

Isaiah 57:5-13 (NLT): “5 You worship your idols with great passion beneath the oaks and under every green tree [Christmas trees]. You sacrifice your children down in the valleys, among the jagged rocks in the cliffs. 6 Your gods are the smooth stones in the valleys. You worship them with liquid offerings and grain offerings. They, not I, are your inheritance. Do you think all this makes me happy? 7 You have committed adultery on every high mountain [which is worshipping other gods than the true God]. There you have worshiped idols and have been unfaithful to me. 8 You have put pagan symbols on your doorposts and behind your doors. You have left me  and climbed into bed with these detestable gods. You have committed yourselves to them. You love to look at their naked bodies. 9 You have gone to Molech [another name for Baal, who is worshipped on Sunday and Christian holidays] with olive oil and many perfumes, sending your agents far and wide, even to the world of the dead.10 You grew weary in your search, but you never gave up. Desire gave you renewed strength, and you did not grow weary. 11 “Are you afraid of these idols? Do they terrify you? Is that why you have lied to me and forgotten me and my words? Is it because of my long silence that you no longer fear me? 12 Now I will expose your so-called good deeds. None of them will help you. 13 Let’s see if your idols can save you when you cry to them for help. Why, a puff of wind can knock them down! If you just breathe on them, they fall over! But whoever trusts in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.”

The prophet Ezekiel has the most to say about idol worship. It applies only to our day. He clearly identifies idolatry as one of the main reasons for military defeat and slavery.

Ezekiel 6:4-13, “3 And say, You mountains of Israel [mountain in prophecy is also a symbol for a great nation, meaning America and Britain], hear the word of the Lord God; Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places. 4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your IDOLS. 5 And I will lay the dead carcasses of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars. 6 In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. 7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am the Lord. 8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that you may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when you shall be scattered through the countries. 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which has departed from me, and with THEIR EYES, WHICH GO A WHORING AFTER THEIR IDOLS: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. 10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them. 11 Thus says the Lord God; Smite with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence. 12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remains and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them. 13 Then shall you know that I am the Lord, when THEIR SLAIN MEN SHALL BE AMONG THEIR IDOLS ROUND ABOUT THEIR ALTARS, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savor to all their idols.”

Ezekiel 8:9-12, 18 “9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. 10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and ALL THE IDOLS OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, PORTRAYED UPON THE WALL ROUND ABOUT. 11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel…12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, have you seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the Lord sees us not; the Lord has forsaken the earth…18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.”

Ezekiel 16:1-2, 36-41 (NLT),  “1 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations….36 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have poured out your lust and exposed yourself in prostitution to all your lovers, and BECAUSE YOU HAVE WORSHIPPED DETESTABLE IDOLS, and because you have slaughtered your children as sacrifices to your gods [abortions resulting from indiscretions on New Year, Valentine’s Day celebrations etc.], 37 this is what I am going to do. I will gather together all your allies—the lovers with whom you have sinned, both those you loved and those you hated—and I will strip you naked in front of them so they can stare at you. 38 I will punish you for your murder and adultery [spiritual adultery with other gods or idols] . I will cover you with blood in my jealous fury. 39 Then I will give you to these many nations who are your lovers, and they will destroy you. They will knock down your pagan shrines and the altars to your idols. They will strip you and take your beautiful jewels, leaving you stark naked.40 They will band together in a mob to stone you and cut you up with swords. 41 They will burn your homes and punish you in front of many women. I will stop your prostitution and end your payments to your many lovers. 42 “Then at last my fury against you will be spent, and my jealous anger will subside. I will be calm and will not be angry with you anymore.”

Ezekiel 20 (NLT): “30 “Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign Lord: Do you plan to pollute yourselves just as your ancestors did? DO YOU INTEND TO KEEP PROSTITUTING YOURSELVES BY WORSHIPPING VILE IMAGES? 31 For when you offer gifts to them and give your little children to be burned as sacrifices, YOU CONTINUE TO POLLUTE YOURSELVES WITH IDOLS TO THIS DAY. Should I allow you to ask for a message from me, O people of Israel? As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will tell you nothing.

32 “You say, ‘WE WANT TO BE LIKE THE NATIONS ALL AROUND US, WHO SERVE IDOLS OF WOOD AND STONE.’ But what you have in mind will never happen. 33 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will rule over you with an iron fist in great anger and with awesome power. 34 And in anger I will reach out with my strong hand and powerful arm, and I will bring you back from the lands where you are scattered [Here God is mentioning Israel being brought back to the Land of Israel after national slavery]. 35 I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations, and there I will judge you face to face. 36 I will judge you there just as I did your ancestors in the wilderness after bringing them out of Egypt, says the Sovereign Lord. 37 I will examine you carefully and HOLD YOU TO THE TERMS OF THE COVENANT.38 I will purge you of all those who rebel and revolt against me. I will bring them out of the countries where they are in exile, but they will never enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

39 “As for you, O people of Israel, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Go right ahead and worship your idols, but sooner or later you will obey me and will stop bringing shame on my holy name by worshiping idols. 40 For on my holy mountain, the great mountain of Israel, says the Sovereign Lord, the people of Israel will someday worship me, and I will accept them. There I will require that you bring me all your offerings and choice gifts and sacrifices. 41 When I bring you home from exile, you will be like a pleasing sacrifice to me. And I will display my holiness through you as all the nations watch.”

Ezekiel 22:2-5, “2 “Son of man, are you ready to judge Jerusalem [This applies to America, Britain and Israel together]? Are you ready to judge this city of murderers? Publicly denounce her detestable sins, 3 and give her this message from the Sovereign Lord: O city of murderers, doomed and damned - CITY OF IDOLS, FILTHY AND FOUL - 4 you are guilty because of the blood you have shed. YOU ARE DEFILED BECAUSE OF THE IDOLS YOU HAVE MADE. YOUR DAY OF DESTRUCTION HAS COME! You have reached the end of your years. I will make you an object of mockery throughout the world. 5 O infamous city, filled with confusion, you will be mocked by people far and near.

Ezekiel 23:23-24, “23 The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians [the Germans] with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses. 24 And they shall come against you [both Israel and Judah] with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against you buckler and shield and helmet round about….30 I will do these things unto you, because you have gone a whoring after the heathen, and BECAUSE YOU ARE POLLUTED WITH THEIR IDOLS…46 For thus says the Lord God; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled. 47 And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire. 48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness. 49 And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and YOU SHALL BEAR THE SINS OF YOUR IDOLS: and you shall know that I am the Lord God.”

Ezekiel 33:25, “25 Wherefore say unto them, Thus says the Lord God; You eat with the blood, and LIFT UP YOUR EYES TOWARD YOUR IDOLS, and shed blood: and SHALL YOU POSSESS THE LAND?

Ezekiel 36:24-25, “24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.” This shows that Israel will have to be cleansed from filthiness due to idol worship after they are rescued from slavery.

Hosea 4:17, “17 EPHRAIM IS JOINED TO IDOLS: let him alone.” This means that in the time of trouble, Ephraim [Britain] will not receive help from God.

Hosea 8:3-4, “3 Israel has cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. 4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: OF THEIR SILVER AND THEIR GOLD HAVE THEY MADE THEM IDOLS, THAT THEY MAY BE CUT OFF.”

Hosea 13:1-3, “1When Ephraim spoke trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died. 2 And now they sin more and more, AND HAVE MADE THEM MOLTEN IMAGES OF THEIR SILVER, AND IDOLS ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN UNDERSTANDING, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves. 3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.”

Isaiah 42:17, “17 They shall be turned back, THEY SHALL BE GREATLY ASHAMED, THAT TRUST IN GRAVEN IMAGES, THAT SAY TO THE MOLTEN IMAGES, YOU ARE OUR GODS.”

Isaiah 44:8-11, “ 8…Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” 9 ALL WHO MAKE IDOLS ARE NOTHING, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame. 10 WHO SHAPES A GOD AND CASTS AN IDOL, WHICH CAN PROFIT NOTHING? 11 People who do that will be put to shame; such craftsmen are only human beings…19 No one stops to think, no one has the knowledge or understanding to say, “Half of it [a tree] I used for fuel; I even baked bread over its coals, I roasted meat and I ate. Shall I make a detestable thing from what is left? SHALL I BOW DOWN TO A BLOCK OF WOOD?”

Here God ridicules worship using the Christmas tree, and images or idols of Jesus, Mary, angels using wood or stone.

Jeremiah 8:18-19, “18 My grief is beyond healing; my heart is broken. 19 Listen to the weeping of my people; it can be heard all across the land. “Has the Lord abandoned Jerusalem?” the people ask. “Is her King no longer there?” “OH, WHY HAVE THEY PROVOKED MY ANGER WITH THEIR CARVED IDOLS AND THEIR WORTHLESS FOREIGN GODS?” says the Lord.”

Ezekiel 7:2, 19-21 “2 Also, you son of man, thus says the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land…19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity. [America and Britain’s riches are the stumbling block that causes their sin] 20 As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: BUT THEY MADE THE IMAGES OF THEIR ABOMINATIONS and of their detestable things therein [riches also led to making images]: therefore have I set it far from them. 21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.”

Jeremiah 10:1-5, “Hear the word which the Lord speaks unto you, O house of Israel: 2 Thus says the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen…3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”

Have America and Britain taken this admonition to heart. Clearly the answer is no. We still worship trees, idols and images in all our churches.

Ezekiel 8:3-6, “…and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looks toward the north; where was THE SEAT OF THE IMAGE OF JEALOUSY, WHICH PROVOKES TO JEALOUSY…5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this IMAGE OF JEALOUSY in the entry. 6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, do you see what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary?”

Ezekiel 16:17-18, “17 You have also taken your fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and MADE TO YOURSELF IMAGES OF MEN, AND DID COMMIT WHOREDOM WITH THEM, 18 And took your broidered garments, and covered them: and you have set mine oil and mine incense before them.”

Hosea 10:1-2, “Israel is an empty vine, he brings forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he has increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land THEY HAVE MADE GOODLY IMAGES. 2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, HE SHALL SPOIL THEIR IMAGES.”

Does it not stand to reason that the God who inspired a 1,500 page book would instruct us on how He should be worshipped? Where do you find God commanding us to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ as virtually all Christians do on Christmas by decorating trees, or celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with sunrise services at Easter or with rabbits and eggs. What have eggs anything to do with rabbits? Rabbits don’t lay eggs. None of these irrational ways of worship are mentioned in the Bible. Even the words Christmas and Easter are not mentioned in the Bible. And anybody can easily research that Jesus was not born anywhere near December 25th; nor was He crucified on Friday nor resurrected on Easter Sunday on the basis of which Good Friday and Easter Sunday are celebrated.

Anyone who is honest cannot deny that all these are images, which God commanded His worshippers should not use to worship Him. Clearly, ALL, I mean ALL, of Mainstream Christianity is violating God’s second commandment.

How important did God view idolatry and Sabbath keeping to be for ancient Israel? They were so important that God cites these two sins as the main reasons why ancient Israel and Judah went into captivity. God explained through Ezekiel the prophet in 20:10-21, “18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols: 19 I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; 20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. 21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.”

What was the result of Israelites not keeping the Sabbaths? Verses “23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; 24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had POLLUTED MY SABBATHS, and THEIR EYES WERE AFTER THEIR FATHERS' IDOLS.”

2 Kings 17 also mentions why Israel was carried away captive by the Assyrians: “6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria…7 For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God…10 And THEY SET UP IMAGES AND GROVES IN EVERY HIGH HILL, AND UNDER EVERY GREEN TREE…12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, you shall not do this thing…15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them. 16 And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and MADE THEM MOLTEN IMAGES, EVEN TWO CALVES, AND MADE A GROVE, AND WORSHIPPED ALL THE HOST OF HEAVEN, AND SERVED BAAL…18 THEREFORE THE LORD WAS VERY ANGRY WITH ISRAEL, AND REMOVED THEM OUT OF HIS SIGHT:”

Idolatry and Sabbath-breaking for Israel led to defeat in war at the hands of the ancient Assyrians and national captivity. The result was the same for Judah who were enslaved by the ancient Babylonians. As all the scriptures cited show, the result will be the same once again since Israel and Judah continue to worship idols. We see that in mainstream Christianity’s Churches and even in Jewish practices such as the Hanukkah bush (which is a copy of the Christmas tree).

Mainstream Christianity claims that they don’t really worship the idols of Jesus and Mary, or the cross. These symbols just remind them of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. But that’s precisely what the ancient pagans did. They used idols to remind them of their savior god, who was nonE other than Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord of Genesis 10:9. Nimrod was considered a savior by the ancient pagans because he had saved humanity from wild animals which had multiplied faster than humans immediately after the Flood. Nimrod organized hunting parties to hunt wild animals which drove them away from human habitations. That’s why he was viewed as a savior of mankind. He was later deified and worshipped. Those exact pagan practices were adopted by the Roman Church to increase adherents. That’s what mainstream Christianity practices even to this day.
